Default Update to rear..

Well it went into the shop today with a posi outta a auto, new set of 3.42's & ring gear spacer. I called to check on it & he told me I broke the ring, pinion & posi. Not too bad for a lid & cats removed. I did all this before the LT's & stuff.

I also bent the stock driveshaft about 6 months before this. I'm good at breakin ****. Not to mention I did it all on street tires, never even ran a DR. It only cost me $260 for the complete rebuild since I brought in the most expensive parts.

Should have it back before I get off work. Can't wait, I haven't got to drive it with the new mods yet. Its been broke for a few months now.

$260 is pretty affordable for a rear end setup!

Yea, they are only chargin me for new bearings, fluid, seals & labor. I took a chunk out of the original total by bringin in my own posi & gears. Otherwise it would have been like $800

Well here is the carnage of my rebuild. The marks you see on the posi carrier are from the pinion gear diggin into the posi.

Too bad it was on KDWS street tires. They aren't really all that sticky, I just got them to hook that day.

I really like them & I drive my car year round. Rain, sleet or snow. So far thats the only tire I have ran out back.
