Scott or another installation professional could send the housings out for heat treating or Cryogenic hardening, before the gears are setup, and this might solve the soft case issues.

I will look into that process and I will also contact Strange for their input.

so is this still the only S60 you've seen with these softness issues?? i really like the sound of the S60 - stronger for pretty much the same price as the others.

and i hate to ask, because i feel stupid, but what does all the stuff mean in normal talk?? all this rear end stuff is completely new to me, and i'm trying to learn and do my research because i need to replace my rear end. it's on a buddy's lift as we speak with a busted axle.

Strange forgot to install my reluctor ring as well, so we are trying to agree to terms on having it rebuilt at a local shop. I am getting some pretty good gear wine between 50-60 only when applying gas, coasting it doesn't do it. So, lets see if another shop setting up the gears has any different results..

My S60 is at a local shop right now. I'm going to have them double check the gears out before I install it.

I haven't decided yet, I have some other disturbing rubbing nosies when I make hard slow turns...like in a parking lot. But, I don't know if it's coming from inside the rear...or some kind of strange suspension issue.

Randy's brand may not be made in the USA, some are OEM reboxed and some are import.

Scott,
I am going to buy a 12 bolt or an S60 in the next couple weeks. Have you had any luck checking out a hardening process, cryogenic or heat treat? I would love to get the S60 and have you set it up, but only if I'm certain it will take a 550 whp+ 7000 RPM clutch dump+ slicks and live. I am planning on calling you tomorrow. Also, what kind of wait time is there to get a rear from you? Thanks!

I haven't had the time to look into any treatments and I will start by asking Moser and Strange if they won't viod any warranty if any process is done to their product. I am about 2 weeks out on full assemblies but I am getting caught up since it's the holidays.

PM me your number and we'll talk over the weekend.
