I'm no expert on Mikronite, but I think they are size limited with that stuff. From what I remember of my conversation with Joe and Amber at T-56 Rebuilds, it was all they could do to get the main cluster mikronited due to its size. There's no way you would fit a rear in there...

Mikronite treating is a very shallow surface treatment that both hardens and polsihs. the idea behind it is that removing the surface flaws decrease the number f areas for stress risers to cracks( breaks in the material) to being which improves material strength by improving surface finish. Mikrnoiting however will not harden the the material as far as I am aware. I don.t think its a thorugh hardening process like Vapor/ or Ion nitriding.

I have the s-60 as well, i have no problems with any noise. It was set up by stange and I installed it. i bought it through Ron @ Vengance, his price was better than going to strange direct. It was a direct bolt in. No problems at all, it was as if the car did the swap for me.

So Scott are the pinion bearings moving in the housing like they do in my moser 12bolt? If they are the good news is they get better after about 9 ring and pinion sets,
work harden I suppose.
