moser 12 bolt wines like crazy!!
rear has been good for 1200 miles... sat for about 6 months. got it home a month ago, changed all fluids ect ect. drove it around town, noticed it got a little nosier then normal but figured it was because i gutted the interior... Yesterday took it out, now its to the point I cant stand being in the car its soooo loud. car shakes, not bad but didnt always do it. Thought it may be the DR's but they are balanced perfect. I also had the axles pulled out and longer studs installed along with all new bearings. Getting the car back home next week and ill be tearing it apart, any ideas guys?

Id say a rear progressivly getting louder is a bad thing. Usually they whine from the beginning or develop a whine after a few launches. If it started right after you did an oil change and havent done any hard launches I would take the cover off and check for metal fileings from the berings and irregular wear on the ring gear. What oil did you use? 90w synthetic or comprable should have been used.

I used royal purple 90W. I dunno if its just because I gutted the car that it got to loud or if it just happened at the same time. Seams like the sound is coming from the right side of the car. If I turn right hard enough to take the weight off the right side, the noise stops. ANy ideas?

hard launches on a sticky tire isn't good on the bearings I guess. That much stress on them just tears them up I guess. My strange 12 bolt whines and I am going to rip it apart here in January after the holiday season to see if I just need a new bearing or if axle shafts are worn too from the bearing.
