break 10-bolt while shifting?

break 10-bolt while shifting? Im going to a m6 and was wonder who here has broke their 10-bolt while shifting???
I have 3.42 gears and a TA cover with about 800 miles on it. I wont be running a tire, but am scared to shift too fast...

it seems most people break it on the 2-3 shift cause most cars at the speed have traction. its not like going into second where you will break loose a little bit, or ease up a little bit because you know that you spin. The 2nd-3rd is usually pretty hard of a shift, and the rear will hook, which could cause failure.

Motive 4.10's, ARP Studs and T/A cover
After I installed a new Strange 12-Bolt, I opened up the 10-Bolt and found a busted diff carrier with chewed up spiders
Surprisingly, everything else was still in tact, so I'm just gunna weld it up into a spool and use it as a spare

After I installed a new Strange 12-Bolt, I opened up the 10-Bolt and found a busted diff carrier with chewed up spiders
Surprisingly, everything else was still in tact, so I'm just gunna weld it up into a spool and use it as a spare

im not an f body guy, im into s-series but i have an m6 swap behind my 4.3
when i was still on the 5 speed i skattered my 3.08 7 5/8 rear end on the 1-2 shift. part of the pinion was sticking out of the housing. ill try nad find my pictures of it
