e brake

anyone got a how to on taking the ebrake hardware off the rear end??

tried searching but couldnt find what i wanted.

Which part of it? Unbolt the bracket that holds the line to the rear. Pull back the little spring that attaches to the brake shoe, pop it out and that's it.

ok im talking about the part that fits inside the rotor not any of the cables that stuff is off im talking about the part on the backing plate

You need to hammer off the rotor, use a screw driver to pry up on the ebrake horse shoe then pull forward over the axle flange,

Then turn down the adjustment on the bottom of the brake.

so i dont have to pull out the shafts or the backing plates??

just pry it off

No, its all attached to the backing plates. The cable is a different deal, its hooked onto the back side, if the backing plate has to come off, so does the axles.

the cable is already off all thats left is the e brake pads themselves and that little hook the cable attatches to coming throught the back. the new rear end im getting has backing plates so can i take off this stuff without pulling the axles out??

its on a v6 didnt think there was a difference as long as it is disc brakes

I dont know if v6's are different, I never work on them.

ok got the brake shoes off how does the hook on the back come off and the little nub on the backing plate come off or is that part of the backing plate if so my new rear end is coming with backing plates
