Default 410 Gear Help

I just bought my 410 gears from new era performance and paid 220 for the gears and master install kit, i was wondering if im going to have to recalibrate my speedo, and the noise level of the AAM GEARS i believe the name is, its like a oem for GM, anyhow upon installing these i have a 99 which i believe is a torsen differential, will i need to add the additive or not? Also with these and the mods in my sig what can i expect to run in the 1/4
? are 12's a possibilitY? What is the general break in period for gears

torsen works well in synthetic or mineral oil, additive is not needed as there are no clutches, additive also reduces noise. See torsens web site for more info. AAM make gears for GM. Their set up tolerance is tighter at around 0.004 backlash opposed to that of other after market gears like Motive which get 0.010" backlash. In my opinion AAM is the best choice, if set up properly I believe they have the greatest chance to remain quiet a few rare cases of quiet motives, richmonds aside of course. I broke mine in at the track and some really hard launches and clutch drops, some seem to think running them in cycles by running them on jack stand for 10-15min and letting them cool for a while then running them again so on and so forth will lap a pattern in the contact face of the pinion tooth and ring gear tooth in such a manor they will remain quiet. Couldnt hurt right? and 12's c'mon, Super Chevy says our cars run 12's stock with good traction, what the problem?

awesome thanks for your help buddy, any other things i should do or know about before/after installing these gears, any things to know when installing things to look out for?

i was going to have a mechanic do it, but i want to make sure i can let him know of any tricks of the trade, or things to look out for you know

60' is the determining factor there

also, as for what else you need for the instal, dont waist your money on the split paddle, just grind a little off the current paddle if necessary, chances are you wont even need to.

I was only cutting like a 2.1, but wasn't launching off the line. Was definitely pressing 1rst gear and slamming 2nd without spinning at all??? But that is the same 60' I was cutting on my stock runs??? I don't recall what the conditions where like, although a T-56 C6 was only breaking 13.4 I think was his best run. But in anycase, my 4.10s went right in to mine. No problems other than the rear being just a hair louder.
