If I'm able, I'm planning on powder coating my rear axle and other underbody/brake parts soon. Has anyone done this before and how do like it???

 

Well, i haven't done my rear, but i did my Block/heads/valve covers/oil pan, front cover, doing brackets and rims when they come off this winter, i would highly recommend it to anyone, easy cleaning, always glossy, last forever, where in MI are you, i could show you my stuff, and the engine shop i part-time at, does all our motors in powder coating, we use a guy in the area that is awesome, he does/is doing all the stuff for GM/Mopar's SEMA display's, and any other stuff they need, the man is awesome. Email me if you are interested, and i can talk to him, the more stuff you have him do, the better deal he'll do, and i'll take refer you, and he'll take good care of ya.

For a rear end I would recommend POR 15 in glossy black (or whatever color) Alot cheaper and the finish is smooth,shiney,and extremely tough for little $$$$.

 

I can say I have done a block in the POR 15 before it is a really good product.

 

Where do I get POR 15? Do any of our sponsers carry it?

I had my buddy paint my Moser 9" the same red as my car... he used etching primer first...

So any primer then POR 15 on top of it and that's it? Do chain parts stores carry those?
