I have to disassemble and take more a few more shots when I get a chance.

Those are older photos before I took the diff apart, at that point I was trying to get eaton to take a look at the diff so I didn't want to open it up.

When eaton told me no warranty of any kind on diff (before I bought it I got another story from them eg I wouldn't break it and they stand behind their product ) I took it apart and found the worm gears were grinding into the case.

To bad I can't rebuild it even though it makes a great 500.00$ doorstop.

Why is it so hard to believe that the TrueTrac is not indestructable? It has small parts inside...you can only make those small parts so strong.

In the end, when you go to make a decision, you have to realize that everyone's definition of beating on a car is different. I say that I flog mine with damn near hatred, but I knew of one guy that could break anything, and yet I've not even broken my old 10-bolt.

I tried to get a TrueTrac for my Strange, and that is when I realized that it would require different axles. I went with their standard HD Eaton with the 800 lb preload springs instead...we'll see how it holds up. I'm gonna guess it'll be a bit noisy.
