Update from Memphis. With the Powerglide and a converter that is still slipping, we managed to run a 9.654 at 142.67. The 60 ft time was a 1.446, and would of been better but the car stood straight up and had to be peddled to keep from ending up on it's top. On it's way down to the ground, it stood straight up again when it hit 2nd gear. Brent said he could see the whole hood from the starting line!
We're going to see if we can swap converters this morning. Bob

Not until we get back from Memphis.

The new Moser torque arm is working so well, this is what the car did in first and second gear with a two speed powerglide. Our best 60 ft so far has been a 1.29, this is with a M/T DOT radial! Bob

One question that I am shocked that no one has ask is can you take the center section out without removing the torque arm? Having to remove the torque arm bracket on the regular 9 inch is a PITA when having to take the center section out.

I don't see the new torque arm location being in the way for removing the third member. Bob

No 3 channel? Is it really that hard for them to add? I know you hardcore guys don't care about it, but a lot of us street drivers do, especially in New England....

I've been waiting to hear the news on the 3 channel abs as well. A 9'' would be great but it looks like the S60 is my only option now.

If only they could make a considerably lighter one like they've done here....

Update

The un-coated M9 F Body Housing and axle package for the F Body, comes with up to 35 spline axles, is $1,915.00 shipped. This includes the powdercoated Moser torque arm and crossbrace of your choice, depending on which transmission you have.
A backbrace is an optional $140.00

Note that this does not include the third member, commonly called the center section.

The weight difference between the standard Moser 9 inch and the M9 is 42 lbs.

We ran a 1.29 60 ft time with this combination in my street legal '99 Z28 at the LSX Shootout.

These new rears will be shipping around Nov 5th. Pre-orders are being taken. Bob
