A backbrace is an optional $140.00

Note that this does not include the third member, commonly called the center section.

The weight difference between the standard Moser 9 inch and the M9 is 42 lbs.

We ran a 1.29 60 ft time with this combination in my street legal '99 Z28 at the LSX Shootout.

These new rears will be shipping around Nov 5th. Pre-orders are being taken. Bob

so are complete ready to bolt in rears going to run around 3 grand plus tq arm?

Yep, looks like I'll still be spending my money on a S60.

Please keep in mind that this comes with the torque arm, one of the best torque arms on the market. This torque arm got my car to do a 1.29 60 ft at Memphis, and the car is street legal! Bob

Do you know yet if there is a 3 channel available?

No, I don't think there is. The torque arm that comes with this rear is a heavy duty work of art that is designed for drag strip use. It is going to be noisy, since it does not come with poly ends.
If you are concerned about this rear having ABS, then this rear is probably not for you, as it would work best for a weekend/drag car. Thanks! Bob

Link to new M9 rear.

and bob your right the rear end is a great looking rear end. and the track times to show. but add it up your at like 3100-3200 for a good set up and the other way is 890 for the housing axles bearings and studs. plus 1000 for center section, plus 600 for average torque arm. that is only 2490. so this really has to be the best F***ing rearend to justify the 600. and truelly i say your numbers at the track are good enought for me. but the street boys it might be different?

A standard Moser 9 inch rear is $2,400.00 complete, shipped. Add $600.00 for average torque arm = $3,000.00 This is real close to this new M9, and it includes the transmission crossbrace. Bob

Yes, the 42lb weight difference is between the standard Moser 9 inch and the new fabricated Moser M9. Bob

So, if its 42lbs lighter then a normal 9", wouldnt that make it lighter then a 12 bolt?

I'd certainly say so. The Moser 12 bolt is 47 lbs heavier than the 10 bolt, so the new M9 would be down there. Bob

Does the 3rd gen version come with the trans. crossmember and torque arm as well? Can you supply it with rear brake setup? Thanks!

I'll have to check to see if the 3rd gen is ready to go. Wilwood rear brakes can be supplies with the rear, as they were on my own '99. Thanks! Bob
