Default Tranction Control?

I'm getting a 99 Trans Am and the guy who i'm buying from converted it to a ram air and the car doesn't have a traction control button. that being said when i take off will it be pushing with one or two wheels? Like my S-10 only does one wheeled burnouts (weak). i was wondering what it will e on this car because our other dodge 1500 also only has one wheel pushing. i think the car has too much power for only wheel to be pushing on take off.

Should use both wheels. All these cars have posi rear ends, nothing to do with traction control. Fwiw, I ordered my car with tc and hate it now. One option I wish I didn't get.

It all depends if you have a limited slip differential or not. Traction contol useses the brakeing system to help with traction.

Posi traction is in your gearing system (in the pumpkin of your rear end) it distributes power to both sides of your axles through a "Clutch" type of system. When one side slips, your other wheel takes over. Traction control works through your ABS and braking system. When the abs sensor senses a slip on one side, it uses your brakes to minimize the slip.

Yes, Like the other guy said. I think all ls1 cars come with posi traction. I am no expert however. I am more of an old school muscle guy.

Yes like has been said a few times already, traction control and posi are not the same thing. Your car will have posi (both wheels "pushing") even if it doesn't have traction control. My car has traction control and it's damn annoying that I always forget to turn it off when I need to, wish I didn't have it either.

ya an option you really do not need. + if you take it to the track and forget to turn it off, you'll look like a complete moron. (Haven't done it yet personally but have seen others)
