What's the price of the upgrade to a full chromoly housing? You may have said it before but I didn't read all 84 pages...

This may be a dumb question but can you jack up the rear of the car by the center of the housing or does the drain plug and TA mount make that impossible?

I do it all the time, but I have a thick rubber pad on my jack.

I use a small piece of 2x4 between a jack and the aluminum center section. After asking Eric if it would be safe.

So why is it we can't get ABS with the Aluminum center sections?

Whats the price difference for a Strange S-Case with locker? And what is the aluminum center section price difference?

I have jacked mine under the housing many times. But I noticed that the bottom piece of the housing was getting badly puckered due to the plug and the metal jack pad. I cut out a piece of 1/4" steel that same size as the bottom housing pice and welded it on. Problem solved.

Well I stand corrected then. I've just seen most places say "3-channel ABS N/A with alum center" Oh well

So what was the upcharge for the Strange alum w/locker?

How do you like the locker on the street? I've heard 6-speeds having some problems shifting at part throttle situations.

I don't remember how much extra it was. The shifting was pretty bad at first and had some bad torque steer, but once I got the pinion angle right and did some other adjusting the shifting got much smoother and the torque steer went away. Then I put a tick master in and the shifting is now smooth enough I don't even notice it. Still a bit more notchy than with the stock rear at part throttle, but nothing you can't get used to. My only issue with the locker is in parking lots and pulling in and out of driveways, feels like ridin a bull sometimes ... but again there's things you can do to avoid most of that.

whered you get the poly bumpstops?

Those of you using this setup with a TH400, do you have any pictures of how the trans sits on the trans mount? I guess you need to use a 1" spacer to go between the trans and the mount, so some pictures would realy help of how it looks once its done.

yes you have to use a spacer..everyone says a 1 in spacer will do the trick, but mine is still too low so i went 1 1/4.
