so i guess i wouldn't have to worry much if i plan on going with streetlites? what's the backspacing comparison of a 17x11 direct fit streetlite or a 15x10 streetlite for strip use? would i have to narrow the rear for the 15x10?

i have to ask eric,is there any slight discounts on streetlites with the order of the fab 9?

Install is done.

1 heat cycle done.

Gears are dead silent up till 45mph, after that there is just enough noise to know that they are there. There is some noise on deceleration, but it's not bad. No vibration up to 55mph, I haven't taken it any faster yet.

Tomorrow I'm going to double (more like quadruple) check everything.

I think my intermediate pipe might be hitting the torque arm crossmember, so I need to check that out too.

The gears made the car so much more enjoyable - at least for the 10 miles that I cruised around.

Eric wants me to try shimming the pinion on it - I figured it's worth a shot.

If not it's completely live able - it's a good excuse for louder exhaust.

sure!!! I can get you a sweet deal; on a set of wheels to go with the rearend as well. there aren't as many choices of wheels available in the 17", but we can do whatever combo you like.

I think about 15lbs lighter then a 10 bolt. Thats with Aluminum center section, locker and drilled axles of course. When Eric wieght mine it was only 12lbs heavier then my 10 bolt. My setup is 31spline axles, iron center section,posi,4.11's and powder coating.

Is it required that we get a new drive shaft with this rear end? or will the stock one work?

2 quarts probably isn't enough mine took about 3 quarts plus the small bottle of posi additive.

Have you looked at the part of the axle that the seal rides on? I had to replace a Moser axle that had a couple gouges in it right where the seal rode.

It started leaking last year, now this year I took the axle out and had another one pressed on and its leaking now too. So, thats why I was wondering if I was possibly over filling it, but it sounds like im not.

When I had it out, I didnt notice anything odd with the axle but didnt really inspect it either.. just assumed a bad bearing. I did check the vent fitting and it was all good too. The side that lis eaking is the side where the vent isnt, if that matters.

Mine is leaking on the same side...I believe mine came with the Strange axles.

Question re: LCA's

What position is best for traction? I currently have LCA's in 3rd hole up...I notice they slope down towards front of car by about 1 cm. Should I drop them 1 hole down? If I do that I figure it will be sloping towards the rear by about 1 cm as each hole is about 2.5 cms (1 inch) lower center to center.

Thanks

the lowest hole on the lca relocator bracket is the most aggressive on the tire. the hole closest to the axle tube is in the stock location. most people use one of the two lower holes.
