Default Moser 9" Clearance Problems

Just tried to get car on the rear wheels and take it out, and it seems that the torque arm itself is hitting the car....also it seems like the upper torque arm bracket bolt is hitting (the bracket that mounts the torque arm to the 9"). Called Bob at EPP and he said I just have to make room for it... I don't have a problem doing that but just wanted to see what people had to say before I hammer it out tomorrow.

Car is lowered with prokit..... has stock toque arm, bmr boxed control arms, bmr panhard rod.

I plan on getting an aftermarket torque arm soon....so if that will fix a clearance problem I will order one asap

I han't done any searching yet and I might not get to it tonight

The new Moser torque arm for the 12 bolt and 9 inch is designed specifically to clear the f body's tunnel, which would help you, although it won't help out with where your torque arm bracket is hitting the floor of the body. The only thing I would do there is shove a pry bar in there between the body and the housing/bracket and add a little clearance. Bob

I used an air hammer and pushed up the sheetmetal, You can't tell from inside the car. Worked great.

i think i'm gonna have to do this too. i bought a Moser 9" from Bob last summer. I have a UMI torque arm, which seems to clear everywhere except where it mounts to the 9". it beats the living **** out of the floor when i engage/disengage the clutch or accelerate/decelerate....

I had to get out a BFH and clearance the driveshaft tunnel slightly to fit my 9" where it mounts to the torque arm. I have the UMI adjustable torque arm. It didnt require much and now it doesnt hit at all.
