Is the girdle cover worth doing on a mostly stock car? Or save for another rear?
Only thing I plan on doing is maybe exhaust and headers for a long while. Track maybe a few times. So is the girdle cover worth it or save for another rear because the 10 bolt will go regardless. All the girdle does is preload the caps so I don't know if it helps a ton. Seems crush sleeves and loose gears are more of the problem.

people say a 10bolt is junk, but i have made many hard passes at the track with minimal problems from mky 10 bolt..3.42 gears,solid pinion sleeve,T/A girdle and studded the carrier bearing covers,welded axle tubes..on an auto car there are a lot of guys in the 10s in the 1/4 with a ten bolt..just depends on the rear i guess

i just put mine back togeather. 373 gears,TA cover,studded,and a set of used moser axles,welded axle tubes..im going to let it rip this weekend.4400 stall and a 150 shot out of the hole..it held a 3500 stall and a 100 shot all day with the 3.42 gears..we will see
