what gear do you guys suggest for a Ws6 430 rwhp motor 560 on spray. 28 inch slicks. I know the theoretical gear for this application, looking for real world experience...thanks guys

i have 4.10s now. debating on 4.30s. i leave at 6500 rpms. trying to maximize my combo for the spray. i know it will suffer a little on motor..

anybody else...anybody with spray??? I think the increase in torque from the spray will necessitate a slightly smaller gear ratio...anybody??

I have a 3.73 and have a 150 shot on it right now. It is a great gear for the street and does good at the track- good all around gear.

if you are looking for all out you need to get 4.10's or higher.

If your motor can handle 7k-7200 rpms and your goal on spray is ~135 mph or less, then 4.56s and a 28" tire would be the way to go.

Any more than either of those and you should drop back to 4.30's.

4.30's aren't nearly as fun though.

What's your shift point at? You need to list your max rpm, it could be 6300 or 7200 that's a big difference.

i ran a 27.3" tall tire and with 4.30's NA i was crossing the traps at 6400 (200 rpm before the limiter) at 124 mph

i now am spraying, only a 75 for now, and have stepped up to 28x1050's and im hoping to eek out 130 out of them at th 6600 limiter

may have to drop down to 4.10's
