Be very careful lol, i've seen them pop on street tires off the line, you can't put any limit on the 10 bolt & 6sp., its just a matter of time before it breaks, don't know when it'll happen, but rest assured IT WILL, your playing with fire useing MTs & 4.10s, put a good rear/shaft under it & give it hell.

i use to launch mine around 3k and the car bogged so much i was getting like 2.0 60ft's i was getting fed up so next time around i waited for the lights to come down and just mashed the gas and let the clutch fly... the front end of the car felt like it was going to take flight i pulled a 1.86 on bdg's with headers only. now i have a cam and 4.10's and i'm alittle worried about launching with my cam 4.10's and new ls7 clutch

I ran consistant 1.79-1.80 60' times with my 4.10 geared 10 bolt.....but it broke about two weeks ago
Surprisingly though, it wasn't the ring and pinion that failed, it was the diff itself. It puked its guts out.
For the record, this was a re-inforced 10 bolt. I had welded the tubes to the center section and also welded added bracing to keep it from distorting under power (which is what leads to broken ring and pinions) Also it had a aluminum girdle and main cap studs too.
Bottom line is if you're on sticky tires with an M6, your 10 bolt's days are numbered. End of story. No matter what gear ratio your running.

I blew my motive 4.10 geared 10 bolt on the 1-2 shift at the track on Nitto DRs in nov 06. The Torsen posi couldn't take the power and all the teeth on the worm gears shredded off. I got a free replacement from a buddy and put it back together. I haven't been going to the track OR running from a dig since. 1.5 yrs and a little over 9k later and it's holding. I do 2nd gear rolls, and with 615RWTQ, it's still going, whines on decel, but it's still together.

I remember a guy on here saying he broke his 10 bolt backing out of his garage. lol You just never know when it is going to let loose. This is the rear that I recommend.
