OK, so if the thread is so pathetic, why are you still here posting in it? Also, why have the thread locked? Do you have some sort of moderator access that only you know about? Besides, locking a thread just means we aren't policing ourselves, which is a bunch of crap.

Anyway, does anyone here know anything about Alston Chassisworks and their Fab 9?

Yeah, it doesn't look like they make a bolt-in housing for any F-body '82-later, but their Fab 9 is the first one I remember seeing awhile back. I KNOW there has to be more than 3 companies that make a bolt-in fabricated 9" rear for the late-model F-body.

On the Moser M9 the drain plug and fill plug are included in the price.

A Moser rear can be had at any length that it can be made to for no extra charge.

With a Moser rear a spool is less money that a Truetrac, Locker, Eaton posi, etc.

I just needed to state the things that are included that are of no extra charge from Moser, that you said were extras. That's all. Bob

I know the one guy who builds the Midwest rears, he's a good guy. I can trust his craftmanship without even looking at his work. And that's hard to find these days!

Touchy....hope you feel better after your rant. This thread has definitely gone bad quick.
I think it is safe to say that everyone has their opinion of the product they chose to buy....I'm positive they are both great products and will work for whatever application we so choose to put them through. Doesn't mean one is better/worse than the other...but dare I say different in some ways.
I hope no matter what you chose to run in your car /cars...that we all have great success and enjoy many years of usage from both of these rearends.

Good luck to everyone involved in this thread!!

Darren, 1BDTRAM has been told to pack it in other threads, he is an instigator. His little barbs like this one to me is a good example.

I haven't been told anything Robert... Infact, I'm trying to get this thread locked myself as I already stated... I just tried to be a bigger man than some of the people in this thread (which doesn't take much effort)... But you and 02nbmws6 apparently still wanted my input...

Bob, Yes I find you annoying as I'm sure you find me... But we could atleast try to step up a decade or 2 into our age and put this childish rubbish aside...

Can you work with me here BOB?
