3.73 or 4.10 current setup
when doing my research. My current setup is 228/232 comp cam, stock heads, 3000 yank stall, 2.73 gears
I know going from 2.73 to 3.73 will make a HUGE difference, but what about 4.10's?? The difference in rpm range is about 250...
I've read different threads on here, and some say (3.73's best of both worlds, while others say 4.10's aren't any different)
Its like going from 3.42 to 3.73, since I have 2.73's why not go all the way to 4.10's instead of 3.73's??
Also, I am factoring in MPG's city/highway, hooking the tires, breaking the rear end, etc....
Any positive, and constructive input would really help
From 2.73 to 3.73 will be a big jump, much more than from a 3.42 to a 3.73, and I am assuming this is your DD and not just a track car, so I would vote the 3.73's. Much more realiable, more contact teeth/area.
I just went to 4.10's with my M6. My bud has 3.73's in his M6, couldn't feel much of a diffrence over the 3.42's, but I think the 4.10's might be too much for your application. Just my opinion, good luck with your choice.
