sometimes the valve bodies/tcm have issues. Did you turn it off for about minute and re-start it? I have dealt with several with that issue. You start it back up and reset the TCM and it drives again for a short distance and same issue. GM stocks the TCM/solenoid assembly for these at several dealers for a reason.

Lol ok.. well I had one of the fastest 6l80e cars in the country and I have broken them in every way possible.

When ONE clutch pack takes a **** the trans does EXACTLY what you discribed.

Good luck..

Ok guys who had check ball stuck in spacer plate....
6l80 has plastic check ***** .
one was actually worn and stuck in the spacer plate
Passage...
Would have been nice to find before I tore apart the trans and found no internal problems...
Ya win some and you lose some ....
Cheap fix any way ..
Cost me more for fluid than it did parts to fix it....

Trans was no where near toast ..
I figured some thing broken due to all of a sudden .would not take off from a stop sign with no other warning..
So I just tore it apart ..
I scratched my head when everything looked ok...
Pulled the valve body apart to see if maybe a valve was hung up and found a check ball stuck in the spacer plate.....
The check ***** are the size of peas the stuck check ball was worn to the size of a bb..
Could have done it in the truck in just a few hours..
Well anyway.

I have similar symptoms. Be surprised if the same problem, but who knows?

Did you have any codes?

I pulled P0777, which says Solenoid B open, but I've also read it could be low fluid. I might have been 1/2 quart low.

Thank you much,

Doug

No traction on my thread (plea) for help . Should I have posted in the hybrid area?

https://ls1tech.com/forums/automatic...d-f1-swap.html

Forgive the cross post if that's an issue. I'm tempted to take out the valve body in hopes of finding the same issue. Would love some guidance from someone who has been there.
