Wondering if they will, supposedly GM was told that they WOULD NOT be allowed to build it in todays economic climate. This was at the same time they were forced to disband GM Performace parts division. Yea, they had no cool toys ot anything on the Hot Rod Power Tour, and they were the #1 sponsor! Guess we won't know until next year, there is a lot of mixed media about the '11 Z-28!

He wants everyone in a hybrid in one year, how is that anything like being an American? Way to let us have things that we work for, want, and deserve. I don't want this to be another thread on NObama but America's losing more and more rights and freedoms everyday. If I want to buy a 569hp Z-28, Chevy should build it, and I should HAVE the choice to buy it. Damn the man telling my car company they can't build a car that is enthusiast driven. After Chrysler started building cars again last week, do you know which line they started first? The freakin' Viper, the Viper!!! How does that happen, didn't Chrysler and GM both go backrupt and need a bailout? So,.....Chrysler can chose to start building their supercars and GM can't have a choice? It's about more than Obama, recession, and dependency on fossil fuels, but damn, THIS IS AMERICA! You know, baseball, apple pie, and Chevrolet!!! I'll keep my guns, tobacco, muscle cars, and you keep the CHANGE! I want to see the presidential car as a freakin hybrid, he should'nt be able to ride in an American car, like his Cadillac, escorted by half a dozen Tahoe's and Suburbans. Sorry, just a little venting!

Something has to keep the interest in the Camaro going.
I'm sure the Tformers movie will help for the remainder of the year.
But what about next year? What if the economic recovery isn't what GM anticipates? They need to keep demand for this platform going . . .

Yea, and don't shoot me here Vette guys, but a factory supercharged Z-28 would probably out sell new Z-r1's on a price only basis. Most likely they would keep the platform rolling with more options too.

I thought it quite hypocritical when he brought those same vehicles over to the UK to drive around when he visited!
Same as our 2 faced government Pissing & moaning about the environment then driving everywhere in chauffeur driven Jags & Bentleys & pouring money into car companies so they can build & sell more cars, only to try and stop us driving them because it's bad for the environment!
