Default LS3 question

Camaro LS3 pushes out 420HP and Vette LS3 is at 430+ right? Was just wondering if anyone knew the difference between the LS3 in the Camaro and the one in the Vette? Cam profile, exhaust design, tune... etc?

LS3 camaro is 426hp, LS3 vette is 430, only 4 different... vette with the active exhaust is 436... same motor, the 4hp could be the airbox

Air box mainly. Almost done fabbing one.....still need to add the ducting from behind the grill to bring true cold air into the filter.

It would be nice to see an otr design for these cars. Hopefully your design doesn't heatsoak like the GTO's 90 degree intakes do.

Aluminum always heat-soaks....so that is an issue & I agree.

Ok, so identical engines. I figured it might be exhaust design or tune. Air box as pointed out as well. Does the Vette also have 4 cats behind the exhaust manifolds?

CAI looks nice, but i have also heard that aluminum elbows have heat soak issues.

Tune shows basically the same, air box is the most limiting and the exhaust is as well but to a lesser extent.

As for this intake design most people want bling over function....I prefer function period so will design one out of composite in the future.
