Camaro5 I got banned for this trying to help
On camaro5 I tried to help a guy who wanted to mod his v6. I told him that I had a v6 before and as of now I would've done things differently. Anyway I got banned... I think it is very funny. I didn't know the v6 guys had such thin skin.

I kind of agree with them, any way you aren't banned, it's just temporary, unless someone from there comes here and reads this post, then they might ban you. I don't feel that temporary ban was necessary, a warning by PM should have been more than sufficient. Unless you got a warning and didn't take heed.
I do notice that is a very PC board though, that's why I do not post much over there. Also a lot of the stuff over there reminds me of ricer boards. Waaayyyy too much concentration on appearance & not enough high quality tech discussions.

damn, what a bunch a nancy boys... you never dogged them about having a V6. i guess its ok for some people to drop 30K on a car and then spend what they should have spent on a V8 in mods...

I'm on those forums all the time, not the V6 section bc I'm getting the V8 but I think half those guys who were giving you a hard time because one they probably couldn't afford a V8 Camaro so they bought the V6 or they have the false assumption that the 300hp V6 is just as quick as the LS1 V8's. I can understand that if they had to go with the V6 bc they couldn't afford the V8 car that they are just trying to find ways to make the car a better performer or sound better. If the guys just think that the V6 is fast enough and that the V8 isn't worth the money then yes they need a lesson taught to them by a V8 car. I'm sure those V6 guys have very thin skin when someone mention the word V8. Because the V8 cars will always own them. Camaro5 banning you is stupid but they believe that if you're not contributing to the thread you shouldn't be posting in the thread.

I agree with them. he said it isnt going to be a v8 nor was he looking for v8 power. he just wanted his car to sound like other nice v6's he has heard. not to sound like a v8.
you went in there talking about v8's to people who already made the decision that they didnt want a v8. i just dont see how that was called for in a thread about a car you dont even own.

the op in the other forum wanted a g35 like sound, not v8 sound. so coming on and posting stuff about should have gotten a v8 was pointless. did he deserve a ban no. warning probably not, but a suggestion say "hey stay on topic." the guy didnt want v8 sound he wanted the g35/350z sound out of his car that was all.

well we own n/a domestics and then strap on blowers and boost which are normally found on other vehicles. solid rear guys bolt in ford 9"s.
people see good things from other platforms which they want to emulate. it helps to drive the modding world. we should be happy he wanted the sound which is kinda nice and not any of the negatives.

No matter how you slice it. The OP was in a V6 forum, bagging on the V6 stating to put a V8 in it. After MULTIPLE times of people stating to stay on topic.
If it had been a V8 Forum, and some V6er wanted to know how to make his sound like a V8, his responses were valid.
You should have been perma-banned IMO, especially because you came to another forum and whined like a little Russian school girl about it.. and are _still_ in the wrong about it.

hey guys. I want my SS to sound like a g35. lol
why would you buy one car to make it like another? I don't get it. Making it different I understand but trying to make it sound like a g35 and spending enough to own a v8 in the process of modding... I don't get it.
That's like saying I want a slow version of a muscle car, I want it to sound like an Infiniti, and no I do not want the top dog version of the car... THAT MAKES ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE.
somebody is in denial

your a dumbass for going into the 6er section and talking **** the guy said he didnt want his car to sound like a v8 do you have nothing better to do? imo the v6's should only be driven by women and young people or people that don't want to go fast. the guy never said he wanted to go fast just wanted better sound. but at the end of the day i agree v8 all day

While you were right on, they obviously weren't going to be receptive to your opinion. Most V-6 engines sound like **** with an exhaust...period (my opinion of course). I think 99.9% of 350z's and G35's sound ricey.
The only six cylinder cars that sound good (in my opinion) and inline six motors. ex. Supra, VW VR6, BMW I-6, etc.

The 5thgen V6 sounds worse then the 4th gen v6. Every clip so far of setups on the 5th gen v6 sounds way to much like a 350/g35....and it just does not fit on a "Camaro" Yes, we all know a v6 will never sound like a V8....DUH! But you can still get a good sounding exhaust for a 4th gen v6.
