Here is a little FYI info for you. If you payed MSRP for a 2010 Camaro you still got a good deal. There is not very much mark up (profit) in these cars for the dealer. GM is making all the money not the dealer. For example here is a 2SS/RS with a stripe package, and 20 inch polished wheels. The MSRP is $36735 and the invoice is $35666.69. That is $1068.31 in mark up. Here is another 2SS/RS that has a MSRP of $37450 and the invoice is $36306.61 which is $1143.39 in mark up. If you think that you are going to get $2000 or $3000 off of sticker in a few months you are being misled or misinformed. The mark up is just not there for those kinds of deals. The car with the MSRP of $36735 has a GM supplier price of $35734.19. So you can see that there is not much in the way of room for a dealer to make you a "sweet deal" so to speak.

I picked up my 2SS/RS LS3/M6 in Sparta MI and walked out the door for a little over $34,000.00. Got it for under MSRP + GM discount + incentive + USAA discount. they found every discount they could for me. Check Camaro5 forum and autotrader, a 10 can be had with between 5k and 10k miles and sometimes even less for under 35k, I've seen them myself personally for 29k at the lowest but IMHO for the price you could pick up a vette, hell if you look hard enough you can find an 06 Z06 for around ~40k-42k

From what I've seen lately, if you are willing to order and wait for it, you usually get a better deal than if it's sitting on the show room floor & is an impulse purchase.
There are lists & lists of dealers on Camaro 5 that are selling @ or Below MSRP. If my car would have been one nickle more than MSRP, I wouldn't have it, I got lucky and got it for less.

I got my 1ss with polished wheels as the only option: right around 31k including tax/tags. (about 1k under sticker) and this was June 09. I was the only one on the road around me for about a month

there is this thing called Dealer Holdback, its where the dealer makes the most profit its somewhere around 6 percent of sticker is what GM pays back on every sale, that is why a car can be sold below msrp and the lights stay on at the dealer, i dont know maybe i am wrong but if the dealer only made 1000 to 1100 per sale i think there lights would be off , and there doors would be closed.

I'm jealous as f*ck. I ordered mine October 14th, 2008 and had to cancel it a few months later because I had to move out on my own to be closer to my job (I couldn't commute 60-90 minutes each way anymore). Fully loaded 2SS/RS black on black. Waited a full YEAR to get my $1,000 deposit back. Instead I bought a 2000 SS SLP. Plus I live in MA and the weather here blows and I would have had no garage to keep it in.
I'm either going to think about this supposed "2011 Z28" or just mod my 2000 and 1968 at the same time...still would like a new one but I'm not sure I could swing 3 camaros at once lol.

I ordered mine with just an automatic option and RS package. Car stickered for about 34k. After my GMS discount, USAA discount, and dealer rebate I got it for right at 30K. Great dealer and salesman. If you want to know them just PM me. You can get these cars for under MSRP now and if you order them you can get them really cheap because you wont be paying for any options that you dont want.
