Last month, Camaro doubled Mustang sales, and more than TRIPLED Challenger sales... Not that the Chally is a sales powerhouse or anything, just sayin LOL

Without a Firebird to steal sales from the Camaro, the numbers will look very different from here on than in the past. Similar to how the F150 sells more trucks under one nameplate, but GM sells more trucks when you combine Chevrolet and GMC. The Mustang has been the lower performing car for nearly 20 years and IMO sold well because it was always fresh. If GM can keep the Camaro fresh I think the Mustangs reign as sales king over the Camaro year after year may be over, even if the Mustang can finally go toe to toe with the Camaro (performance wise) again. Either way I hope they both do well, and I hope the Challenger and Chrysler can survive as well, but it doesn't look very good.

The fact that the V6 Mustang now actually has some ***** to it, (very small ones) it gonna sell wonderfully.
Of say 10 Mustangs and Camaros I see on the road, 8 of them are v6 models.

There are a few of us that buy cars because one is faster than the other. Most people who buy these cars have no clue. Else the v6 version would never sell. The mustang has always been popular regardless of what car is "faster" Right now, the Mustang is in the same position it was in 2004. In 2004 the 2v GTs weren't selling very well. I've seen a few go off the lot for less than 21k new in 04/05. It was a great time for GM to put out the Camaro. Very smart for them. If both the Camaro and the new 5.0 Mustang had came out in 10 or 11, it would have been more interesting.

I wasn't attempting to turn it into an argument. I was just making some friendly rivalry. My fav "pony" car is actually a 02 WS6. I am not so much a "stang" guy as I am simply an owner of one. I enjoy all 8v+ RWD cars for the most part.
And yes, the pics are awesome. I actually like the 4gens better than the 5th gens however.
