This intrests me. Not to start anything here but, do you honestly believe that the larger motor will not in the end make more power. Im not saying that its drastic but who's to say that the map chevy puts on these cars are not "tame"? For example a cam and tune would net the camaro a good 60-80rwhp depending on cam and tune of course. How much would this net on the mustang being dohc design?
Another example just to make my point clearer would be the 90's truck wars. The chevy 454ss vs ford's lightning with the 351 windsor. In stock form the lightning made more horsepower. Now lets just call the h/c/i design for the 454 "tame". With that said I like both of these amazing machines and would love to own both of them because im greedy. I am just stating a fact.

I agree, I think the LS3 definately offers more room to grow NA. And I would much rather change out one cam instead of four. Im sure the same would still hold true of the stang, however in this case the LS3 would have the advantage of more displacement. The problem that remains is weight.

Simply stating the new GT is faster than the 5th gen doesn't make someone trollish or fanboyish. They are just being honest.
Now are there going to be 5th gens beating 5.0s? YES! damn straight there will be.
If I was loyal to GM, I'd only see this as being a benefit. Unlike Ford, GM has always surpassed the competition once it was met. There is no doubt that the 2011 or 2012 Camaro will be bumped up to outdo the 5.0. AND SO IT SHOULD. And then 15 years later, Ford will make something faster again.

The 2010 Camaro has bigger wheels with bigger tires and bigger brakes. It has cast manifolds, I believe it has 2 more airbags. An extra roof support and get this....this is going to flip your lid. Ready?.......The Camaro is a bigger car. WOW imaging that. A bigger car weighing more.
I have 21,000 on mine. Anyways 10.58 on slicks and a 100 shot is impressive, but its not anything that hasnt been done before, dont forget your going to need a clutch to launch like that. As for the 2010 camaro axles breaking, thats why you dont blow your wad all over the first week the car is out. Your going to find limitations of stock parts real quick. Was there some sort of plethora of Camaro posters on ford websites when the first 2010 SS hit low tens on a cam and spray?

It was mustang fanboys waving their dicks around here like the new mustang was the second coming of Jesus and like the camaro was going to be street trash. Its not the case. Then you and your crew did everything they could to show videos or links of fast 2011 GT's. Did you think we didnt expect them to run good? We are not idiots here. We just said it wasnt going to be a Camaro killer stock for stock or mod for mod.

A member here just posted a thread on SVT about his supercharged Camaro taking an inexperienced 2010 Shelby owner down. People didn't give him **** for anything other than not telling the truth about his mods when asked before he raced. He admitted to a shifter and CAI but failed to mention his TVS blower.

LS1Tech is one of the most diverse auto enthusiast forums on the 'Net. Hell, one of the four or five admins doesn't have an LSx -- he drives an '03 Cobra.
