If those mufflers weren't on there it might be better off.

This is very impressive. I have a customer that is inquiring about a turbo kit for his 5th gen. This will get him motivated for sure.

What kind of dumb *** asks for 16lbs of boost just for the Dyno, then has the boost lowered so he can drive it home? I hope you charged him twice for both tunes.

Kudos to Champion Motors for tuning 16lbs of boost with no pre det or engine parts sticking out of the hood.

Obviously he wanted to see what it would make at that boost & then a safe tune for the street, so wtf is your issue?

It's silly.

The only reason he would do it is so he can post bigger rwhp numbers than what he is really running.

Dyno drag racing is getting very popular so your right I shouldn't be slamming someone for the way they race. I get pissed when somebody slams me for street racing, to each their own.

The customer at first wanted just the dyno number for bragging and to see potential of kit, but he hasn't been able to run at lower boost he said it feels to slow. He has run all summer at 17-18 lbs and was going to put in a forged motor in this year, but motor is still running strong he has beaten many 1000+cc bikes roll racing.

I am sure we all agree the stock motor was never intended to see 13 or 16 psi but with that said and to directly address the statement. It takes virtually no HP to run the turbos at 16psi short of better valve springs to prevent float which some could argue takes power. A Kenne Bell, Whipple or Maggie all take upwards of 100hp or more to drive them at that those pressures as well as added crank side loads.

Motor is still running strong. A lot has to do with the tune and meth injection to keep this motor a live.

Customer reported back to us still running strong with lots of WOT. We have dozens running over 18 psi with stock rods not one bent.
