Default How much boost stock blower?

How much boost can the stock blower handle and what size pullies would make it work? Thanks!!

Yes sir! This is what I have now..


1. Roto Fab Cold Air Kit
2. ZL1 Custom Heat Exchanger with dual fans
3. Metco Motorsports 9.1" lower pulley ( includes innovators west damper)
4. Metco Motorsports 2.5" blower pulley
5. Cam specs 227/242/520/590/122+6.
6. .675 lift double valve spring kit with Ti Retainers
7. Comp cam pushrods
8. 160 degree thermostat
9. solid isolater
10. Kooks 1 7/8" headers with Catted Connection pipe
11. Metco 50 MM Idler pulley
12. Blower belt
13. Ported mouth, ported blower, snout, throttle body
14. MSD wires and NGK TR7IX spark plugs
15. Alky Control Meth injection kit
16. ID 850 fuel Injectors

Looks like it's time for a bigger blower. What boost are you seeing? I suspect the 1.9 is maxed out already though. Need to log boost and IAT's.

23k rpm is considered the max speed. Your 9.1 and 2.5 combo should put you at 23k rpm at 6400rpm.
Actual boost depends on the entire setup.

Whats your thoughts on the cam I have? I`m doing a short block rebuild to forged the bottom end and would be willing to change the cam.

Looks like the BTR stage 2 cam? No reason to change it IMO.
704rwhp through an auto and you were probably living on borrowed time on that stock bottom end. Tune will be critical to keeping it alive.

Bent # 7 rod and car is down. I`m building a forged bottom end soon to handle everything. I`m using the stock crank with forged rods and pistons. What comp do you think would be good? Stock?

My lsa is 10.6 compression but on 93 octane it is very timing sensitive. But with meth injection, race gas, or e 85 its killer. We have done a few with 9.9-10.1 and its great on 93. Which heads are you running? How much whp are you looking for?
