new best in Lingenfelter LS9 Camaro - 10.235 @ 137.84 We ran our shop LS9 powered Camaro SS at Muncie drag strip on Wednesday (26 May 2010). Our new best is 10.235 @ 137.84.
This car is a full weight vehicle with AC etc. With driver we are around 4160 lbs.
With the weather conditions that day the effective altitude was 4100 feet so I am sure we have some room for improvement with just a bit better weather.
We had the 2-step set to 2800 rpm on the 10.235 run (the run in the video).
We now have half shafts made for the new 241 mm/9.5" differential so we were able to make multiple passes without breaking parts this time. Some may recall that we broke the prototype half shafts with the 9.5" differential and also the 4.10 ring and pinion in the stock differential down at Camaro5 Fest.
Our previous best was a 10.36 @ 139.95 MPH.

Well Lingenfelter didn't seem embarrassed when THEY started the thread on their car and its times. Actually they seemed proud of the car. I just thought it was very interesting that they were only .35 sec faster than such a lightly modded 2011 Mustang .... the SUBJECT of this thread is the 2011 Mustang and its potential for performance against a 2010 Camaro. Some people seem to think the Camaro will respond to mods much better. After seeing Lingenfelter's car preform and Evolutions car preform I'm not so sure.
then you post every single mod on the camaro and then you say the above.

I don't see how low 10s are pathetic times I guess maybe you have never built or driven one but THIS is John who could be your twin posted. You two guys are two peas in the same pod. I frankly was impressed that the Mustang ran mid 10s with so relatively few mods and still am.

The funny part is I have owned almost as many GMs as Fords and I'm currently looking into loving used C6Z06's but I'm also a realist. I think Ford hit it out of the park with the 2011 Stang and Camaro is going to have to slip a more aggressive cam in or lose weight or something to keep up. The Stang looks like it responds to the juice well also. Can't wait till someone tries a 150 or 200 shot on it. Looks like they have forged crank and forged powder rods so maybe they will handle it. Frankly I'm surprised the Lingenfelter car didn't run 9's. It did run 137 mph.
I still think the Lingenfelter car has the potential to be a 9sec car. Perhaps it is the track. And I'm still pleasantly surprised that the Mustang ran strang 10 with minimal mods.

I guess maybe and all out Lingefelter 2010 Camaro with a ZR1 supercharged engine beating a lightly modded 100 shot 2011 Mustang by only .35 sec might be bothering you ...so sorry.

No the point of this site and this forum in particular is to discuss LS based/2010 camaro/vehicles....not to tout a completely unrelated vehicle but thanks for your dedication to that cause. So you honestly posted that ridiculously modded camaro running those pathetic times to show how quick the '11 GT is?? Funny how no one truly knows how much is being sprayed yet you believe it as if it were scripture. Personally I could care less if it's running 9's from the factory...I'd never own one. I also don't go on Mustang forums talking smack about cars I don't own in order to get a rise out of people either.
