I think the pricing is spot on. 1ss for around 30k should make for a $500ish payment. plus tags and taxes of course.

This is probably a stupid question but does anyone think the pricing of ls3 crate motors will go down since production of these motors should go up alot due to the SS?

I believe that will probably be the case, but it probably won't be much.

I can stomach the $35k but WTF are they thinking $4800 for 21" rims? Ill wait for those on ebay lol!!!
Its going to be HARD for me not to get in on the pre-order also. I bet 5 months after its out I'll be able to use my supplier pricing, they'll have 1-2k in rebates plus another 1k or so in dealer negotiation, plus possibly GM card earnings bonuses. thats about 4k less that I can pre-order one for now and about $1k a month worth it to wait.

I'm an idiot though, so I'll probably not be able to wait that long

Ultimate Orange SS, that is some funny ****, LOL.

W
forgot the INFAMOUS catalytic converter hump!!!! I bet the 5th gen doesn't have one of those LMAFO. I bet the driving position is no longer 'lawn chair' either.

No it is no longer "layed Back", I sat in the mule at Indy and it is more uprignt. The only thing that concerned me was that the pedals felt a little close. Now I don't know if the seat was all the way back, or the peddals all the way forward (if it has adjustable pedals), that was just one thing that stuck out in my head. Thats one thing that I will miss is the low slung layed back seats in the 4th gen.

Thats kind of pessimestic. People buy $30,000 cars every day brand new. And for what you get. How many Mustangs do you see driving around, many for about the same price as a Camaro would be?

I do not care if you are giving me a report card or not, Sparky JJO. Your can paper cut your *** with my report card.

I am not paying 30 some-odd thousand dollars for a pony-car.

Hopefully everyone is correct and after a few months and plenty of rebates it will come back to a pony-car price.

However, go ahead and flame me...this is over-priced for a Mustang competitor...even the Challenger costs less.

This is the best of the Stang, Challenger, camaro lineup...but it costs the most...thus, it should be the best.

Well according to your sig your camaro appears stock. With an A4 and 2.73's... Sorry but the 2010 camaro would drag your *** all over a track.

The prices are very reasonable if they are correct. I though refuse to buy a sports car thats 30k plus, especially a car that I will not drive everyday and dont have a garage for. If I could, I would, but Im not ready for a 350-500 car payment plus new insurance. I thank all of you who will buy one new so my cheap *** can go get a used one in 3 years for 15-20k. For now my 2000 Z will still serve.

GM did a good job on pricing this sports car, hopefully this helps them with their fu*ked up money troubles. Good Luck and Im jealous of those who can afford it new!

I bought my 94 Z in 96 with 32k on it and my payment was 300 a month.
If I can get that deal I will do it.

Used one in a couple years. I just can't afford 500 or 600, Thats close to my frikken house payment.

Not knocking the pricing. Its very reasonable.

If the new Camaro is too expensive then go get a 3rd gen for $400.00 and never complain again.

I think the prices are a little less than I expected, but more than I could afford right now. I think that has long been the problem with these cars. The people that want them, can't afford them, and the people that can afford them, don't want them. I would like to be able to purchase a stripped down V8 RS. Give me an engine, ac, power brakes and steering and a radio. I don't need leather or nav systems, power windows, fancy stereos or onstar.
