Camaro officially begins production for 2010 model year!!!!!
just got a special edition of GMHTP magazine. the camaro will officailly begin production in 2009 as a 2010 model. I'm kinda pissed is going to be THREE more years but at least its now official.
another notable is that the GTO will skip the 2007 model and come back as a 2008 redesigned.

Lol 2010? GM might not even exist as we know it today by then! I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for a '10 Camaro. But if the '08 GTO redesign is sweet I might be interested. Definitely can't wait 3 more years to buy another new car, my bird is already 4yrs old @ 45k miles. A semi-confirmation is better than nothing though I suppose.

What an exciting time the next few years will be, assuming GM/Ford don't go belly up, the Camaro, GTO, Challanger, Mustang, and a few really sweet sedans in the mix too. Not to forget the Vette of course

I think the new Camaro will look stellar.
Black with red or blue stripes, or blue with black stripes
And 400hp I get HOTROD mag, and LS2's are very Magnacharger friendly.
So thats like what, around 550 FWHP?
Bring it back GM. I love birds, but I feel the Camaro should be the only car showing its face for some years to see how it sells, GM doesnt have many cards left to play.
And NO MORE threads like this please until GM says they are releasing the camaro. We all know its gonna happen soon enough, but damn

Like previously mentioned, people's taste will probably change in 3+ years for the current Camaro concept, and by then there will be so many other muscle cars stealing the show.
Sure it'll be big news, and definitely "better late than never", but Jesus, 2010? Typical GM.
By then this lame retro trend will probably (and hopefully) be out of style (which IMO it was years ago), and then GM will be left scratching their heads because people will want sleek, modern-looking cars and will be back at the drawing boards.
There's absolutely no reason it needs to be any more than a year longer from now to be on the streets. Either make the damn thing, or don't. But quit with the dragging-out-the-hype BS, because people are eventually gonna get sick and tired of "waiting" and will look elsewhere with what's actually available.
