we will see 100s of posts like this until the first camaro lays rubber onto a showroom floor.
GM has been so tight lipped about what motor is going into camaro i wouldnt be surprised if they pulled something like this.
I have also heard that the LS7 was going out of production, and that the ZR1 was getting a 6.2 with FI.
why no mention of the LS3? is it just the 6.2 block without FI and thats why it wasnt mentioned?

The LS3 is already out, man. Hell, there are several sponsors' dyno graphs of the new Vettes with 'em on here. Pics and everything. Some sponsors are already tearing them down. It's an L92 with a few minor differences.
There are also pics of the ZR1, several of them, at testing grounds. Google image search it for a **** ton of pics. Red, blue, and the newest ones, the yellow one. I think it's very nearly the production model. It's got a blower sitting on top of its engine.

I don't know why GM stopped using turbochargers to begin with. GM and Ford were using them on their ponies back in the 70's with the oil crisis to get decent MPG while getting some decent (at the time) power

^^GNX, GN, T-type are a perfect example of that.
The newer blowers are getting so damned efficient now i honestly don't think it matters. I'll take the crazy *** "under the curve" power that a blower provides over a turbo anyways.

Well another fun fact. Motor Trend said in this months magazine that they know the 6.2L FI motor is going in the cts-v (500 hp) along with the new zr-1(650 hp) so we know that the motor isn't a corvette specific motor like the ls7, which gives a little more validity to the idea that the camaro will get a 6.2L FI motor in 2009-2010 (500-475 hp?).

This is probably a repost, but here is the LS9. Hoping for an LS8 Camaro and crate motors ready for boost!

The problem I have will all of this is if GM does this they better do it right from the start....Offer the FI motor 1st year...Don't do what they did to the 01 Zo6 owners...Bate every one with the new car and then the 2nd year slap all the people who bought one in the face by adding HP....don't get me wrong I am pumped this is even an option but don't screw the people that will pony up for the car the 1st year....

2004 = LS1
2005 = LS2
2006 = LS2
Kinda makes you question the logic, honestly...
