How long will it last????
Even they look better... a lot better!!!!.... than the new Camaro does.

At least us 4th gen guys are only living in the 90's. You 5th gen guys are living in 60's.
I'll simply say this....... I've NEVER heard ANYONE say a WS6 is ugly.

The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
That being the case.... the only car GM has currently that I think is a really good looking car is the C6.
And yes the Camaro looks at least as aggressive as a Ws6, but with classic muscle car lines and the obvious modern touches opposed to the TA's predatory japanese-beetle look. I think most bashing the new Camaro are just mad that they won't be getting one, because they can't afford a top of line version. Just for the record, so I don't get flamed too much, the Ws6 is still my personal favorite looking US car, but this new Camaro will appeal to a lot larger crowd. Even though I can't realistically see myself buying a new Carmaro (money), I'd still love to come up with a way to get one when they hit dealers. C6>C5>=WS6>Firebird>Camaro>5th Gen Camaro.
I just hate the retro look and to me a 3rd or 4th gen Firebird or Camaro is better looking than the new Camaro.
In fact, I can think of several cars that look better than the new Camaro.
The new G8, GTO(discontinued
), even the 350Z. Last edited by wabmorgan; Jul 17, 2008 at 11:34 PM.
this thing should market itself. hopefully GM will pull its head out in that regard.
I don't see how they could sell this less than 3 years, even if sales turn out bad. I'd look for a minimum of 7 years with a freshening after 4-5.

I'd put money on the auto version with AFM getting 30mpg. The concept was advertised as 400hp and 30mpg if I remember right...
even if it 'only' gets say, 26mpg, simple tuning of the AFM has been proven to provide 4mpg increases without sacraficing any driveability.

280 million folks in the US and over the past 5 years GM has been talking about this vehicle GM received 600,000 hand raisers. A hand raiser is someone interested in the vehicle.
Jakes Dad
a good rule of thumb on that is 10%, so the 4th gen would be about 25hwy.
no doubt the 2mpg difference is from the 400lbs less weight and 100 less hp.
