Eh... hard to say. They seem to want to push the V6 models, which will help with sales, especially having two V6 trims. But the lack of having a trunk and the fact that it sits low to the ground are going to be two big factors in terms of its sales vs the Mustang... again.

Basically IMO, it will sell good.. but it wont ever out sell the Mustang simply based on the fact that it doesnt sell to a wide enough audience.

Yeah I kind of worded that wrong lol. I meant lack of trunk space... but I have to actually see inside of it for that point to even be valid.

They never meant for it to be multi-generational, so I say 3 years max, although they may pull the plug if the first year sales aren't there. Minimum 2 years if it gets off the ground.

BTW, does anyone else think that the back of that car looks like the old cartoon Megatron from the transformers? He looks angry.

Frankly.... I don't like it either. I still think GM screwed up by not continuing the 4th gen design lineage.

To answer the post, it all depends on the price of gas. If its $5 or more a gallon, ill give it a 1 year run.

Exactly, because 10 years of the same crap that people got tired of and that sold so poorly that it had to be discontinued, is a GREAT starting point for a remodel. Why don't you people understand that there are more voices in the world than yours, and the masses say it is an incredible car. You think GM screwed up because YOU don't like it? The masses went CRAZY over this car and still clamor to see it hit the road despite the slllloooooow developments on getting it on the market.

Do YOU like it? Who cares
What engines would YOU put in it if you made it? Who cares
What would YOU have done different? Who cares
You don't know the business end of developing a car, marketing said car, and choosing the options that best meet the criteria required to keep it in production as a profitable item. Every car is a balance, it can't have the best of everything or it will be too expensive, it can't be too cheap or it isn't worth it for them to manufacture it. It can't have all performance engines because not everyone wants performance and the performance line is a SMALL percentage of the total sales required to maintain profitability.

GM knows what they are doing, regardless of how much the people of LS1tech agree with it. You don't run the largest vehicle manufacturing company in the world, I think I'll trust the guys who do.

The people of this site are so closed minded on it not being the exact car that they would have built, and quite honestly that's juvenile and uneducated. If you don't like it move on to another car, we don't give a crap and you people don't need to go into EVERY thread about the car telling everyone what GM did wrong. The trolls of this section need banned, period. The same few guys are in every thread saying the same things about how they know better than GM what the car should be and every single thread about the car gets ruined.

There is more dribble in that statement than from a 3 year old.

Experts at GM???? What experts??? Oh.... yea.... they are such experts in design and marketing that their company is on the verge of bankruptcy!!!!!!!!!

What's worse is people like you that thinking... they are right simply because they support the car and that anyone with a negative view of the new Camaro shouldn't state they don't like it.

If you like it.... fine.... vote and post that you do.

If you don't like it.... fine... vote and post that you don't.

Don't be mad just because you are one of the trolls with no valid input whatsoever that I was speaking of.

Maybe It'll be like the T-bird.

They redesign, put it into production for a short period and then stop

Granted, the t-bird was spendy, small, and underpowered...

They seem way behind the ball on getting it out. Just when it comes out, gas has gone way up. Seems like that will hurt sales.
