Go buy yourself the new MUSTANG II when it comes out and be happy!

Between 29K and 39K average this out and you will find the price.....

It's anyones guess, mine is because it's got a more advanced Rearend, Frame, engine, Ect. Ect It will cost alot more than a Mustang.
The Camaro is designed as a Road Car more than a Pony Car, it will handle the turns like a Beemer, accelerate like a bat out of hell and be as comfortable as a Merc, so you put those together and come up with a price.

The G8 could be a close model to point to, it's 29K-33K the Camaro is better than the G8 GT by 10K (IMO) but it wont be that high.

Dude why trash the Camaro, as far as weight the GT500 is a turd, with 500 ponies it should be in the 11's yet they are all over the place from 12.3 - 12.8. I think the SS is in direct compatition to the Challenger not the current Mustang, because the Current GT is lacking 122hp, 20st century technology platform, and it will be at least 5/10ths slower than the Camaro.

the Challenger SRT8 is starting at 38K and it's limited production, the Camaro SS will be the Top dog the First year and three times as many SS will be built over the SRT8.. the SS may be around 34K but what it has over the Mustang is well worth it.

Don't get me wrong I love my Mustang, and I will never get rid of it, but I also am loving the Camaro, for different reasons, some of what the Mustang is Missing, Power, Handling and Modability. those options are worth the added cost.

The LS3 with a Cam, Intake Tune will see and extra 100hp you can't do that with a Mustang N/A, the engine is too small and it's OHC so without major work, heads, pistons you can't put 100hp cams in. the most you can see with stage 3 cams and springs is 30hp

Wow, seems like alot of buyers will sway toward a mustang rather than pay more for a better car. You know pretty much how the 35 years of previous fbody production went.
There will be a few who will pay more for it, but probably not enough to keep it in production at that price. Hopefully the V6 will be equivilant to the V6 mustang in price.

Let's not even get into the endless limited edition Mustangs Ford is whoring out. Regardless of the model, it still bares the name CAMARO which we all know stands for small viscious creature that eats Mustangs. You can call it a heavy turd if you like but it'll still have enough muscle in it to beat the sh*t out of the lowly, underpowered Mustang GT. Oh, and before you bring up the Shelbys, just know that GM isn't concerned with outrunning all the Stangs with the Camaro. They also have Corvette to handle them. And as far as I see right now, Ford better not try to !@#$% with the ZR1, GT-R did and look what happened. GM=King of Domestic Muscle!

Cams? I am just disgusted with the released specs. Subjectively speaking, the .25 time sums up the overall drivetrain performance of a sports car. It will have been 8 years & all you guys get is .2 tenths faster in the .25 compared to the 4th gens. BTW, I am dying to see the SS price. They are gonna try & force feed everyone the overpriced V6 version.

I can agree the GT500 KR is complete BS. Also, I seem to remember the camaro stopped eating stangs in 2003 when it was buried by the overpowering stang sales & you loyalists were left in the dark! Moreover, the COBRA was introduced & GM had no camaro to answer. As far as .25 times, the specs are released. The SS runs mid 13's & the GT's run high 13's..........I would hardly call that "beat to ****", more like slight. For the sake of your allegience to the camaro, pray the 5.0 400HP doesnt make its way into the GT lineup. Who compares a vette to a stang? This is the 2010 Camaro section & the word vette is irrelevant. Let me break it down for you. I will admit, the vette is untouchable as its in a league of its own (cost & performance). By this GM > Ford NOT Camaro > Stang. BTW, I consider the GTR as rice, so I am glad it fell to the Vette.

So wouldn't that make the word Mudstain irrelevant too

And 100 more hp with loads more potential Imagine a car close to 500whp with simple bolt on's. Put some tire's on it alone and I bet there will be a nice difference. All this hate and the car hasn't even come out yet, and from what I hear back when the ls1 came out vs the lt1 there was people saying the same thing back then as you are now...

Considering its the main competition, no. It buried it or can you not remember that far back? BTW, in 03, how did that make you feel? The legendary COBRAs didnt help im sure!

Yeah and wasn't the Camry #1 in sale's around that time, your point? Did you run out and buy the "overpowering" Camry?

Thats alot of HP just to shave off a couple tenths in the .25 from 8 years ago! The 100 extra HP is nice but is irrelevant in the way it performs on a line.

Like I said, give the car some tire's, get that extra hp to the ground and we'll see if it's as irrelevant as you say.

I'm kinda curious as well. It's not unusual for an automaker not to give out the exact pricing at a car's unveiling......but alot of times they give an estimated price range. Unless I missed it, GM didn't do this. My guess is that they're gonna shave it right down to the bone as far as profit margin over cost is concerned. But I still doubt they'll be able to offer this car at current Mustang GT or even G8 GT pricing. This new Camaro is not an old school, zero comfort, stick axled clunker. The LS2 GTO went for 31-32K, and this car looks like it will trump the Goat in many ways.

BTW........000000000........why are you still hanging out in this section? Do you have ANY interest in the new Camaro? Or are you here just to see how many spit ***** you can make stick before they ban you? If you have useful insights, fine. But if all you're gonna do is make flamer statements to wrile up the locals, just go hang out in an Off Topic section somewhere. Seriously man, chill.
