Vette.

After owning my camaro for 3+ years, I looked up full coverage for an '03 Electron Blue 50th anni, vette. It was $1200, with me being 25 and the camaro is 1800. Both numbers are full coverage.

Fbodies are great with a few suspension tweaks, but the vette is already at that level.
Adding these same suspension tweaks would make the vette's handling even better.

I also thought at a point that driving a vette will give me a image of some hooked up kid or a street pharmacist. The fact of matter is that 07 c6's are going for upper 20k to lower 30s.

Thats price of an entry level BMW,Lexus, Nissan G37 & 370z.

Are F-bodies cheaper? Yes.

More fun to drive? Not too sure about that one. The vette handles better, is more responsive, and is just a better overcall car with regards to drivability.

I loved driving my uncle's C5, and his C6 is even better. If you can afford it, and you won't need the 3rd or 4th seat, go w/ the Vette.

Disclaimer: By the way, I looove my WS6, but those are my thoughts for the OP.

The 'Vette is an awesome car all around, and it's also my "ace of spades" in any "import vs domestic" argument I happen to get myself in. (can you say ZR-1?)

That said, I think that the F-Body gives off a more raw, masculine vibe than its big brother, and like many have said before me: the rich guys will buy the Corvette, but the gearhead will own the Camaro.

I think the SS just fits some personalities better, whereas the Corvette is usually reserved for the late-fifties guy with his ten year old son riding shotgun.

well said bronx bull. Everytime i see a vette its never really modded always some old guy driving one. I love vettes and they are just a bad *** sports car. I run into the old guys that wants to punch it right beside me on the highway thinking my camaro cant keep up and i love the look on thier face when i hit it on 3rd. ... Vettes are easy panny droppers like no other

Really? Hmm that is too much of a difference for me then.
I ll look into It more once I'm ready for c6.

But yeah generally vette insuring is cheaper because of the demographics, not as many people wrecking corvettes as much as fbodies.

I actually traded a vette for a Camaro. I had one in high school and once I was able to afford a weekend driver, i've had Camaro's since. I like vette's, but they're far to plentiful where I live, I can count on one hand how many SS's I see in town....I keep my SS clean as a whistle, most camaro's I see aren't clean at all. Every vette you see is clean, there's no doubt in my mind that I get more compliments on my SS than I would in a vette. Plus i just simply love Camaro's....

In my own personal opinion a nice clean ws6 turns my head quicker then a vette. Reason being is you always see Vettes. Not to say the vette is not a higher quality vehicle or whatnot but I see probally vettes and camaros 10 to 1 over a clean ws6 runnin down the road.

I actually think a ws6 looks meaner than any stock vette. Maybe its just the ram air hood. None the less I love my car, and for a street car I dont need to go much faster.

Drive a C5, all models if you can because you may want a Very or Targa over the Z06. I love the Z06's so no hate but some people want different things from the cars. The C5's top is not electric so you have to consider that it's not a whole lot heavier then the coupes. I love my Vette and have owned 2 f-body's before. The Vette is far better for interior quality and they tend to ride better as well. I took my friend for a ride. He owned a '98 Z28 and he was floored by how much better it rode I'm 26 years old and bought mine when i was 23 so there are guys that drive them. Hell i drive mine alot when i'm home from work and i have fun with it. Some of us mod them(real mods) and drive them in the rain even

Yea but peeps still voiceing thier opinion. Though the SS camaro is clearly the better car.. Lol jk. The best deal right now is a cheap f body or the 01 - o3 zo6 I been seeing them for as low 16,000 that's cheap for a car like that

As my friend used to say when he had one... "the Vette gets them wet".

I like my F-Bod, but the Vette is just on a higher level.

Is a C5 really that much better of a build quality than an F-Body? I don't ride in them very often, but I wonder if a 100,000-mile C5 has many of the same little quirks as my Camaro: squeaks, rattles, poor window motors, etc.?
