lsx is a term meaning LS series motor. LS-1, LS-2, LS-6 etc. the X is where you insert the number of the specific block you have but they are all related so LSX mean any in that family of motors.

The search feature is amazing. If you are unsure, try the search before all posts. I do.

Generic term to the Gen III/IV Engines, or specific term to the GM LSX Engine Block. Depends on how it's being used I guess.

But the LSx series also includes more engines than just the LS1/2/3/6/7 there is also the truck engines LQ9 and LQ4, LM7, "4th gen" L99, L76, L98, L99, LS4, LS9, the Cadillac LSA and there's probably more that I am not thinking of.

I do not consider anything but the cars LS series motors. I believe the others are because most of the parts are direct bolt-on but when you hear me say "LS1" , I'll never be talking about anything other than a vette, gto, f-body motors.

Yeah some thing like that. More than the average person will do to it. Or rather I should say see over 2500 hp

Yeah that's the 346ci LS1 engine but remember also that Holden put the LS1 in a bunch more vehicles than the GTO, like the Lumina SS, Commodore, Monaro, Ute..

Methinks the LSx family is much broader than just the LS1
