Stabil In- Hazey Smoke Out
So I am getting my car all set for the long winter ahead and one of the things to do is put Stabil in the gas tank. I put the stuff in last week and then tonight I topped off the gas with another 3 gallons or so, to help mix it through the entire gas tank. So then I started it to get it all through the gas lines and not have any untreated gas in the car. Well I let it run for about twenty minutes then hopped back in. Before I shut it off I gave it one final rev (I like how my car sounds but hey who doesn't like a LT headered ORY LS1?). I shut the car off and got out to realize the entire garage has this hazy smoke through it. What I'm wondering is if this is the stabil burning and have you guys had this before?

shouldn't make it smoke excessively, I have kept a light bit of stabil in my car even over the summer as i was only filling once every 2 mos. Never caused any extra smoke, or that i could tell

Ya its been probably about 3 weeks since I drove my car and I just not got it completely ready for winter. Ya its not really a thick smoke and I don't think I would have realized it if I wouldn't have had the car backed into the garage. Its just kind of a light haze that was above the car.

Sounds like it's from your lack of exhaust. It's because you don't have cats. Not a big deal you probably just noticed like you said because it was backed into your garage.

Yes I forgot to mention, becasue I just thought of it, I recently changed to oil (have not run the car since) and if any of you have change oil filters on a car with LT's you know its a bitch to not get oil on them. I know I got a little on them and I'm guessing after running so long the header got hot enough to burn the oil a little. And the problem only showed up after I got the car completely warm.
