Default Plugs and wires

I just finished up changing the plugs and wires on my 01 SS. Man, that was insaine! That rear passenger plug took me at least 3 hours. The old boot broke apart and I had a hell of a time getting the rest off. I ended up taking the coils off and getting it that way. I have a ton of scratches and busted up knuckles. My war wounds from the fight. I think GM put those sharp *** studs on the coils to deter you from changing the plugs yourself.

HAHA, I just did mine last month. I know, they are like freakin spikes made to stab you! The hardest part was getting those damn boots off the plugs. And I spent probably over 45min sitting on my engine pulling and making faces and loud grunting sounds trying to get the boot off the back passenger plug. Finally it just gave and popped off thank God. My arm and hand were so cramped from pulling on the boots all morning. Second time should be a lil easier. When I design my own car I'm gonna set booby traps in the engine so no one can work on them just like gm does.

I did not think it was that bad. I was prepared for the worst, but it really was not that awfull. . . .

I guess after you do a few timing belts on imports you start thinking every thing else is okay.

Its all patience. Well worth saving the money to buy more go fast parts. Everyone wanted $300 to do the job. Thats almost enough for a set of LTs.

x2. Are you guys using the old trick of, on pass side, unbolt coilpack rail and slide out of way? I rarely have busted knuckles after I figured out how much easier it was if I just disconnected everything lol.
