Alright like the title says, I am narrowing my cam selection down to a few I like, the choices are below. The cam is going into a 2001 Trans-Am WS6 M6, and my current mods are in my sig. Car/motor has 63,300 on them, and the car is my DD other then winter:
Thunder Racing 230/224 .575/.563 111 lsa
Texas Speed MS3 237/242 .603/.609 112 lsa
Texas Speed MS4 239/242, .649"/.609 111 lsa
I think the TR cam is a little small for my liking, the MS4 may be a little too big, but I haven't really looked much into Magic Stick cams. I know everything lies in the tune, but I deff. want to hit AT LEAST 400RWHP. I know with the MS4 I need dual springs, im also not sure if I can keep the stock rockers with that cam. Also, I really don't want to change the lifters and lifter trays, and want to keep the stock rockers.
If anyone has any expierence with any of these cams please leave some input, also anyone with cam knowledge! Thanks in advance for all the help!

I believe the MS4 requires you to flycut the pistons, so keep that in mind. The MS3 and MS4 are both a little bigger than I would want but if you are only concerned with making a good peak number than go for it.

Wow I didn't know that about the MS4, if it requires cutting of pistons, its not for me. Im not looking to go that extreme, and everything about the MS3 seems what I want in my cam.

what about these two seems like that would get you to your goal, they are both bigger than the first and a little smaller than the second and third...when i get my boltons done this spring im gonna be looking for a cam and stall...the torquer 2 always caught my eye.

I thought about a custom grind but I think it would be better to stick with something already mass produced. My T/A is my DD currently, but I picked up a 94 Probe GT I can use in bad weather. Spring/Summer I'd like to drive the T/A as much as I can, I know the cam can be tuned to be able to handle DDing it.

with stock heads im almost positive you dont have to flycut with the ms4. its a proven cam do some searching dont just take one comment about a cam and rule it out

Im not ruling it out yet, I just said if thats what it involves for the cam then its not for me. Also I said in the first post I think it may be a little big for a daily driven car.

The MS4 will fit with stock heads as mentioned. I helped a buddy of mine do a MS4 swap in his 01 Camaro. Just so you know...he hated driving the car after the MS4 though. He said it was such a dog below like 3500RPM's. He had everything you could imagine done to that car including bolt ons and a rear end with adj suspension. I like the Torquer 2.

I have a Torquer V2 in my car. I also have heads so it's a bit different, but all hell breaks loose after 3,000 RPM with that cam. I like it.
I would definitely go custom if I had to do over again though. Patrick G, Predator Z, Futral, TSP, Virginia Speed, and many others can figure out a grind that would best suit you or even recommend the best off of the shelf cam. It's not much more to have a cam spec'd out by a professional and it's worth it IMO.
