I had been working here (Cleveland Pick-A-Part) for 2 years, when I bought my first C5. It was a wrecked rebuildable, however it was a 2003 Z06 50th Anniversary. I was 17 years old, and am 19 now but I sold the Z06 last year. So, I saved alot buying wrecked which made it affordable, and I loved the car!

If a 17 year old posts in here saying that they(/daddy) just bought a Vette' I'm seriously going to want to randomly kick someone in the sack! It's like the popular kid in high school who's daddy was loaded and bought him a new BMW M3.

23 here. I purchased it this past august. 2002 zo6. Very nice car. I have owned alot of other things though. i.e. camaro, trans am, mustang. It's all in what you like. The other cars were a little more rough around the edges but in some cases it is more enjoyable that way. I cant get enough of the zo6 and it has been very difficult for me to leave it stock.

p.s. I paid for mine as well as the insurance

I had a great job when I was 18, made far more than I do now in the navy. I had a 300zx I dumped over $20k into, I wish I could have that much to put in my T/A instead of nickel and dime-ing it.

No way he had the credit for that at 18. Someone had to co-sign for that sucker. ...With the way the economy is right now I bet any car salesman would wish for an 18 year old to walk in and buy a Vette'

well somebody helped somewhere more then likely. example: i remember when i was eighteen and moved away. i came home for a visit after a few months in the real world. guy i grew up with tells me he has 20s on his new truck(back when 20s was about the biggest you could get). i didn't believe him. i showed up at his house and found that he did in fact have 20s on his new f150. i realized that had I been living with my mom since graduation i could have had 20s too. but i didn't bc i was paying for everything else in life that i needed. food/clothes/rent/gas/ins/etc etc. now the moral of the story is, if someone is letting you live with them (i.e. parents) free/almost free and you pay for your own corvette who gives a ****. if you, at 18, have your own house/car/expenses with no one helping you and then you decide to go buy a new corvette and have good enough credit for them to finance you then thats something to be proud of.

****'n rich kids!
I got approved for a 15k loan no co-sign threw credit union. I made 36k year working for the sheriff dept. Insurance was 389 month full coverage on my dads policy since they said they wouldnt cover me on my own.

In my case it was working smart, nothing rich about me.

Who cares??? My good friend owns a manufacturing company and he's turning 23! Has plenty of toys. List: 2006 Ferrari Enzo, 2006 AMG SL55 Roadster TT, 2005 Shelby GT500 with 780 rwhp that I personally drove, F350 Lariat, and 2008 BMW special edition 7 series....do I care? Nope...well the GT500 put a smile on my face...but you didnt hear that from me!
