I have not seen 05-06 GTOs for 15k, many dealers are still asking 18-20k for 05s around Cincinnati.

18K for an 04 is way to much in my opinion. However, different areas different prices. The LS2 cars should be going for 18K or at least in the ballpark range.

I've been wanting a GTO for a while as a DD but now with what I have been driving I'am torn.

GTO's are great cars none the less. I've really enjoyed driving them when I've had the oppertunities.

My favorite part about a GTO is the interior I wish t/a's would have came with an interior like that. I just personally don't think they look very good, besides Josh99ta's goat. My buddy was parked beside one in his Z24 caviler and it looked like it's little brother.

GTO just were not as popular as the f-bodies. I would love to have an 05-06 m6 as a DD tho.

Goats are nice inside, but need some exterior upgrades for the mean look...valance and wheels do the trick.

It's a buyers market for cars now. Even Ford who isn't in as bad a shape as GM and Chrysler had a 32% DROP in sales just last month. These sort of sales losses cannot be maintained for long.

Find yourself a great deal and then under cut the price by 3-5 thousand, or more, and they will probably take it. It's survival time for car dealers. If you have good credit or some money in the bank, you are golden. The whole dealership game is now being played in reverse.

I got word on a low mileage, black '04 for less than $10,000. Problem was it's a rebuild. A coworker of mine has an orange '06 6-speed he's looking to get rid of.

Under appreciated, under priced, but very potent.

Use the market to your advantage.

GTO's are cool Some of the pros and cons in my opinion...

Pros :Speed, interior, LS2, name

Cons: Weight, looks, and just not as cool as a Firebird ^_^

Yeah I doubt i'd get it, i was just curious!
Plus the modding for my budget would be much more sensible on a Camaro SS.
Thanks guys

Might not be a bad deal, depending on how bad the wreck was. Low miles..

I would definatley get an LS2 GTO over an Fbody if they were both in the same price range, with the same miles. The GTO is all around the nicer car.

Id probably get the GTO if you could find an clean LS2 for the same price, I drove 05 red m6 one when I worked at a car auction and I loved that car, it was a lot of fun and much more refined in my opinion. Also would be easier to work on since the engine isnt under the damn dash
