Default Why are LS2 GTO's so cheap now?

I've been looking around all this time wanting a 01 or 02 Camaro SS 6spd. But I've been looking at the 05-06 GTO's lately and they're in the 14K range with 40K miles .
I was looking at a camaro ss with 52k miles for 13.5.....This has me considering getting a goat instead of a SS..
Why have they gotten so cheap???

The GTO for some reason was never really loved by the peoples. I liked it back then and still do now.

I'm just wondering why they are so cheap now...14,999 for a Black 05 6spd with red leather and 43K miles...that is a steal. They look great to me, I think they're boats but I'm sure they'd be almost parr with a stock 02 ss.

Never seen them go that cheap...I saw a few 5.7 GTO's go for that low, but not the LS2.

that's what I said! I was like no way...that's an LS1 or it has been wrecked or has salvage.
The car is clean, and it's a LS2...very, very surprising.

Are these cars (GTO's, camaro's, TA, G8) even selling at all?Actually i was thinking of going around to car lots and dealerships and just offering a rediculously low amount of money (like $8k cash) for these cars just to see if i could get a bite. but then i got laid off. Anyone else have this idea?

Only seen a couple LS2 that cheap and they were problem children when you looked at the GMVIS reports and/or carfax....do an in depth research of the car for sure.

Nobody is buying V8 RWD Manual cars anymore....

There are many known issues with these cars. Make sure and do a thorough check before pulling the trigger on one. And for the price difference between 04s and 05/06s, you can put that extra $$$$ towards mods and eat an LS2 for lunch!
