It will probably go down more before it goes back up, it will take a long time for you to see an increase in the value.

No ordinary, high production, domestic car will ever be worth much more than you paid for it. Buying a car for investment purposes is like burning your money. There's no point. If you had a low serial number SS that had no options on it and 400 miles on it, then I'd say yes, it'll go up in value. If it's just a regular Z28, then no.

i seriously doubt they will stop. they are making some cars that are outrunning the rest of the worlds cars in their class - zr1, cts-v, etc.

Lets get one thing straight here guys GM is not going to stop building Performance cars. General Motors Performance Division (GMPD) is being disbanded. All that means is once the current models are done there will be no more specialty Vehicles like the V's, GXP's, Redlines and SS's.
BTW this should not include the Camaro SS because the Z/28 was to be the GMPD Vehicle for that platform.

You speak the truth. Unless it has unusual options or color combo and you put it in a barn for the next 20 years, it will continue to depreciate. 95% of us will no longer drive or even think about driving an F body when these things become valuable, if they ever do.

A car is worth what someone wants to pay for it. The #1 Zr1 might be worth 50 cents to one person because its not what they want but an 02 Camaro Z28 with just the right options and just the right color might be priceless to somebody. All depends on the buyer.

We should like, sticky a post or thread that basically says, "stop...you're F-body is only worth something to you and the other people that drive them, and it will always be that way unless all other cars on the planet suddenly disappear..."

Why do some people think these cars are made out of gold, or something...

yeah ANY mass produced car wont be worth crap until there are a very few left, and people want them. People will want ours in the future, no doubt, the question is when? I think a lot of these will be held onto that are in good condition.

If you want a car that would raise in value quickly you should have bought a F50 or Enzo.
