I think i remember a guy saying he got a 98 z28 with 140k for like 750, it needed lower rad hose and some other minor things.

I got my 98 formula with 130k for 4500 loaded with some boltons.

If you got patience you will find one, 98 auto Z28 would be the easiest to find though.

You need to be patient, know some other things to though, the camaro is usually $1000-$1500 cheaper then a trans am of the same year would be with same miles just because trans ams come standard with what are options on camaros. Also if you want a 6speed thats another thing that will be harder to find. If you want a ls1 and dont care about miles or what it is (a4 or m6) then ya u can find it for 5k. But if say you want a good shape camaro or trans am and its a 6speed with decent miles, aka maybe 50-70k then you probably wont find something around 5k. It all depends on how picky you are and WHAT your exactly looking for.

I bought my 99 Trans Am 6 speed, stock except for an air lid, and 128k miles. For $5,000 just 2 months ago. Keep looking and you will find what you are looking for.

99 Formula A4, moser 12bolt with 373's, ls6 intake pace setter longtubes, panhard, subframes, laca's, clean 130k miles for 6k. Looked at a couple sub 5k cars and they were junk or shady. Patience is key. After driving several hundred miles and looking for a couple months one just fell into my lap in my own home town much less than 10 min from my house. Beware craigslist. There is no way to keep the seller honest. No feedback or no fear of being flamed!

98 Trans Am, red, T-tops, M6, 140k, drove it off some shady dealers lot in november for 3900 bucks, I live in central MA. Been spinning donuts in every parking lot I could find all winter long while I save up for some summer toys. It's all stock, right down to those boring *** little 16 inch wheels.
