LS1 mileage?
I'm a big freak when it comes to putting miles on my car, i hate it! haha.
Should i be worried about how many miles are on my car? I just keep thinking that the more miles i get on it then the performance is going to go down. Thats probly not even true what so ever but i just have that in the back of my mind.

Depends on how you drive and take care of your car. My brother and I got our cars at the exact same time with the same mileage, 75,000 miles. Now we both have about 79,000 miles. I baby my car all the time, drive it easy, rarely hammer it, and keep it clean, never drive in bad weather either, only clean dry roads, my car is in prestine condition inside and out. My bro on the other hand is pretty rough on his car, drives hard all the time, races people, doesn't keep the inside clean, and has driven through some nasty weather. His interior is pretty worn down, seat is torn, underside of the car is a mess, his tranny won't shift into fifth any more, clutch is almost done which releases almost right at the top of the clutch pedal, and the alternator just went out...
I'd rather have a 2001 trans am with 90,000 miles thats in prestine condition and has been meticulousely cared for than a 2002 with 60,000 miles thats been beat to sh*t.

I bought my car so I could drive it? You can always get things rebuilt.
And by drive it, I don't mean I'm driving it like I just escaped the mental ward. I drive it like a civil person 99% of the time, just because I like the car. The 1% of the time, I do give it hell. It's what makes it fun.

I am the same way! Just keep up your maintenance, stuff might break regardless, but any higher mileage car will need replace parts eventually. My car dynoed 350/350 with lts, ory, lid and that was with about 93,000 miles. So I don't think there was much performance loss there.

I agree, I take car of the car, its always clean and always maintained regularly... but I do beat the ***** off it often. My car now has 92k and for a 1998 it put down 330rwhp with just headers and exhaust, still have the stock ls1intake and no tune. That was on a mustang dyno also.. It just depends if you take care of it.

I agree with what has been said above, my ole foxbody had 140K on the clock and ran like a champ. but if you're really really concerned about it, get a daily and cruise in the camaro.

i have a daily driver it a 91 dakota, i dont drive the camaro that often...maybe on weekends when its nice out. I do take care of my camaro. I change the oil every 3k miles and keep it clean inside and out. I buff and wax it usually once a month. 75% of my driving in the camaro is nice cruising, the other 25% is some racing and just unleashing the beast when i get a heavy foot you know how it goes.
