yea i agree. 4 doors does suck but 0-60 in 4.3 secs for a 4door is impressive. only 1 or 2 tenths behind the cts-v which is 556hp.

Somebody explain to me again why they quit making the F-body? I mean I guess its cool to have a 4 dr hp monster. Dodge has the SRT-8 line up. But why was the F-body dropped in the first place. At the very least Pontiac should have kept the Trans-am.

I believe sales had something to do with it. The sales for the F body sucked so GM stopped making them. IIRC the Camaro always sold better than the t/a anyway.

As for it being a waste, you could buy a c6 for the money but could you haul 4 people in the c6 and luggace for a cross country road trip? The G8 isn't marketed to the same people as the c6 so that point is irrelevant for GM.

I think the car looks ugly (the firehawk pains scheme, I think regular G8s look good) but for the performance I would get one. It would definately surprise some m5 owners.

I just noticed it had 8" wide wheels with little 245 width tires, traction has to be really hard to come by. With some traction I bet it would trap close to 120 and run low 12s if not high 11s.

SLP can go get bent for a $18k upcharge on the G8 GT for this package. Putting the "Firehawk" name on the G8 is retarded.

Pontiac isn't making the Trans Am because Chevrolet wants to be able to say that the Camaro outsells the mustang. The same thing that annoys them about Ford saying (and truthfully so) that the F150 is the best selling domestic full size truck is what caused this as well. GM wouldn't like to have to say that the F-body out sells the Mustang, so get rid of one, and you can hopefully say the camaro outsells the mustang. Simple sales pitch.
As for Firehawk on anything but a Firebird, I'm not a huge fan. Can I get a G8 Judge anyone?

Wow an extra 20,000 dollars for a 12.6 quater mile time ??? I think those run like 13.4 or somthing stock. If i REALLY wanted a fast 4 door G8 i would just throw in a stall, headers, gears and intake and be just as fast (Probably Faster) For a just a few thousand dollars.

I Can't believe SLP is doing something this stupid.
