i'm pretty regular at 22mpg. I drive the car mostly just for work, well for a fun trip to work at least. useually go 80mph.

six months ago when i bought the car, i drove it home from ohio and didnt go over 70 much at all. I got 27mpg avg that way. what a difference 10mph makes.

Since you've never seen much less driven in or rode in my car I'll chalk that comment up to ignorance.

I'm right about 1750rpm at 70, right at 2000rpm at 81-82. Haven't checked mileage yet. But its nice to idle along at 80.

I haven't had my A4 in over a year but if I remember correctly, my tranny blew at about 65K miles. I was running minor bolt on's Stall, and Dr's. I think I ran around 2500-3000 RPM at about 80MPH. I don't know about 70mph

I don't drive 70 on the interstate. No less than 80 HAHA

I'm averaging about 21-22 MPG in my stock 2000 Formula with 2.73 gears. My previous V6 had the Y87 package with 3.42s and I was lucky if I could get 19 with it!

Default 99 a4 trans am

Well guys i have a 99 a4 trans am and i use too have it all stock with 3.23's i remember once getting 408 miles out of a tank it was bone dry. They hold 16.8 gallons and i put 17.3 into it so they must not count the fuel neck lol. It was dry dry. I use too average around 325-350 a tank no matter how i drove it. Now i have just minor air mods and 4.10's in the rear and i get 300-325 too the tank normal driving both city and highway both times. I aveage around 19 together with both city and highway together. We took it too new york from ohio last year and i averaged 23 there and back including the city driving. 23 was the whole trip averaged out. I dont know why people only get around 200 per tank i had 2 buddies that had 99's that could never get over 250 a tank when i was getting 300 everytime atleast. Just thought i would let you know what im use too. Oh and i have 164,000 miles on it now and still get 19 mpg average now with the 4.10's thanks all, ramair1999@hotmail.com

I believe them for highway miles. Remember on a M6 car 5 and 6 are BOTH overdrive. I have 3.23's and when I was lid/CB only I could break 25 on the highway......

7 trips from Cleveland,Ohio to the Orlando area with the OEM 3.23s',24.5 mpg at freeway legal speeds. Now 3 same trips with 4.56s',21.5 mpg.2500 true rpm at 60 true mph.RPM was read with a ScanGaugeII and MPH was verified using a stopwatch timing mile markers.

My A4 gets around 17 with a 50/50 town/hwy mix.

My M6 is my DD and I get 28.5 MPG each week between work and home. I get 30 MPG easy on pure highway driving.

RPM sounds pretty right. I don't know what mine are at 60 but at 70 there about 1800 1850. With the sick *** 2.73's

Mine runs about 1550 at 60mph. At 120 it was around 3500, I think in third gear. I would get about 17.5 to 19mpg (non highway) but now I dunno if will mangage past 15mps with no o2s and running rough. I like the 273s for the 40mph and 70mph sweet spots and being able to do almost 6omph in 1st gear.

:b ang:

nothing anybody can possibly say to you will change your mind, so why ******* bother? Anybody should be able to divide miles/gallon. Just because you dont believe it, doesnt make everybody who gets better gas milage than you bad at math or lying. Some people keep track of every mile driven, every drop of gas that goes in, what gas station it came from, what time of the day, etc. All highway driving=higher milage. It shouldnt be that difficult for you to comprehend. I average 20ish with mixed driving, around 16 all city driving, and 22-38 all highway, AVERAGE. I HAVE gotten 31 mpg on a road trip, cruise control set the whole way. That's not sayign that I get 30mpg everywhere I go, but it DOES happen.
