Default What kind of milage are you a4 ls1 guys getting?

Just swapped an LM7 into my 99 v6 camaro. I have pacesetter longtubes, ory and a SLP Dual/dual, built 4l60e, 2400 stall and 3.42's. The 5.3 is bone stock otherwise. I got 314.7 miles from full until my low fuel light came on. I was quite impressed!

The car still hasnt been tuned yet, but is this pretty on par?

Back when it was stock I could get up to 350 or so miles per tank. Now I get close to 300 miles per tank ... but I have a cam, 3.73s and a 3000 stall.

I average from 16-22 mpg, depending on how much highway milage it is. I have a 3800 stall, built trans and 2.73's. I have gotten a best of 31mpg on the highway and have gotten over 24 mpg numerous times though.

I get 20-25 depending on the % of highway driving that is involved. On average it is 20 with 40/60 city/highway.

I usually get 245-250 MPT but that includes filling up when I still have a quarter tank left

I usually get somewhere between 16-22 mpg with not that much highway. With all highway I've gotten like just over 23 I think. Thats with stock 3.23's, mods in the sig, and a street tune.

I haven't been able to check sense I put the long tubes on but stock with 2.73's i drove 2800 miles across the country and got 31.7 mpg. All highway of course but I think it's funny I can get Honda/Toyota numbers with double/triple the power.

I think some people twist the truth a little with some of there MPG's I have seen some post that look a little crazy guess its how you drive. I like to run mines kinda hard but thats just my opinion. I get about 16 thats pretty much mostly city driving not to sure on highway I am about to make the drive from cali to Kansas city MO in a couple days I will figure out my highway then.

I take it you have 3.23s? When my car was lid and tune on a trip from my house to Ceder point I got 31 MPG, mostly all highway with a little bit of city and 45/55 roads. But at 75MPH I turn 2000RPM. I've noticed 70 gets the same MPG but 80 is where it starts to fall off. I think a 3.23 car turns what, 2400RPM at 70? Apperently 2000RPM is just the sweet spot. I noticed no change in MPG after the LS6 intake or CB. On the way home before any mods, bone stock down to every single thing (the dude that owned the car was 70 and ordered the car new, had 45k miles in 8 years) it still got 31.7 for the trip. That was 2800 miles all highway only stoping for gas and food, got stuck in traffic about 1 1/2 hours idleing near Chicago. (no sleep, wouldn't try that again.) Don't let someone say people twist there MPG's, people that say that are either jelous, not tunes right, or beat their car like it owes them money. By the way my car see's WOT at least twice a day.

i've been reading some posts and when i'm at 60mph im turnin at 2050 rpms. Maybe i have differen't gears or something? I also thought i had 3.23s. Does that rpm sound right?

I get around 25 highway and haven't really figured what i get in the city yet.

RPM sounds pretty right. I don't know what mine are at 60 but at 70 there about 1800 1850. With the sick *** 2.73's

Let me think. 4400 stall, 4.10 gears and a big cam. I can actually see my gas guage needle moving towards E while I'm driving
